Today is one of those overly warm and humid days that causes you to feel sluggish and not like doing much. The kids had a long day as did the husband and I so my decision to do a crock pot recipe today ended up being my best choice.
There is nothing better than walking in at the end of the day and your house smells just amazing. Crockpot Ribs is one of my favorite recipes and just so delicious. I really also enjoyed knowing I didn't have to turn the oven on. What I really needed was a great side to go with our delicious ribs. Thankfully, after my post last week on Birds Eye® new products I had some stuff already in my freezer. Meijer's always has such a great deal and so when I was there I made sure to purchase extra.
Birdseye Steamfresh® Flavor Full sides Buffalo Cauliflower was going to be our side. Here was the best part, the crock pot had just finished and all I had to do was pop the bag of Buffalo Cauliflower into the microwave and wait 6 short minutes.
The smell of this mixed with the ribs was almost more than we could take. Here is the recipe for the Crock pot ribs.
For the Rub:
1 cup dark brown sugar
3 tbsp of salt
1 1/2 tbsp of cayenne pepper
2 tbsp of pepper
Mix together with a fork and then cover the ribs with the rub.
For the Crock pot:
Cut the ribs into individual pieces and place in the crock pot on high 4-6 hours. My crock pot is very old and I found that 5 hours worked and then I added our favorite BBQ sauce (Sweet Baby Rays) and cooked one additional hour on low.
Perfectly cooked and paired with the Birds Eye® Buffalo Cauliflower!
Don't forget to stop by at my previous post from last week about the Barbecue Sweet Corn and enter for your chance to win a $25 dollar gift card from Meijer Grocery Stores.
Tomorrow I will be making my favorite Meatloaf recipe and pairing it with the Birds Eye® Teriyaki Broccoli so stay tuned and don't forget to stop back.
