Nourish by Belibea Nursing bra

Bringing a baby home from the hospital can be total magic. The happiness, the visitors, the look of your new baby. The total happy exhilaration. All mom's know this feeling and coming home can also be exhausting while you figure out your new sleeping and eating schedule of your bundle of joy. Having a product that makes your life easier is and will be the most important part of having a baby. When Belibea reached out to me regarding their nursing bra, I was intrigued.

I wasn't physically able to breast feed my daughter's and it is always a experience that I have missed. Lucky for me, I had a friend who was about to give birth and she was planning on breast feeding. Once I received the bra, I had a perfect excuse to see the new baby and get in my newborn snuggle fix. My friend was excited because this bra offered some features that would be helpful this time around. This would be her second child and any mom with more than one can tell you, if it makes your life easier and helps with multi-tasking then that is the product you want.

Belibea offers some great features and can be used with any breast pump on the market:

  • BeliBea bras incorporate specific design features to ensure every mother’s all-day comfort, including a seamless stretch fit, plush-lined adjustable straps and a ribbed band to provide flexible support.
  • The BeliBea bra line has a v-neck scoop and center ruching to maintain a feminine shape – no sports bra "uni-boob" here! Nourish by BeliBea also comes with removable pads between the cup panels that offer extra support, comfort and shape.

  • The BeliBea bra line combines the best of traditional maternity bras with both an improved fit and design for better comfort, with the Nourish by BeliBea style also providing the ability to hold pump shields in place for hands-free convenience.

The website has great information (listed above) but is also user friendly and has an easy to find size chart. The best part about the bra is that it is affordable. Between the diapers and all of the hundreds of things you need for a newborn, an affordable product is key. The Belibea bra can be  purchased for $49.95 and they offer gift certificates so this would also make an awesome shower gift.

So after a couple of weeks of good use, here is what my friend had to say about actually using the Belibea bra:

"The bra is extremely comfortable and supportive. I am used to nursing bras with under-wire, but this one offered as much or more support while still being so comfortable I could sleep in it.  It remains smooth under clothes, so no one can tell you have nursing pads in."

"The double snap straps got twisted around pretty easily, so it would take a minute to get it all strapped up again. I still held the flanges on while pumping to get a tight enough suction.  This may have been user error and could be fixed by adjusting the tightness of the straps"

"Overall – I loved it – the main factor for me is being able to sleep in my bra so I can keep the nursing pads in at night, and this is definitely the most comfortable nursing bra I have found"

Thanks Belibea for letting me try the product - Heidi.

So there you have it. An affordable product that makes the life as a breast feeding mom easier and it is comfortable to boot. I think we all know that makes it priceless..
