Wrapy Baby Wrap - Review

Wrapy was kind enough to send me a Wrapy to try and review. I didn't have a newborn for this review but my best friend was just about to give birth so I knew she was a good fit for a Wrapy review.

Here is a little information about Wrapy.

Wrapy was created with one simple, yet well-meaning, objective:

To allow the holder freedom to do other important tasks, while keeping the baby comfortable and safe at the same time.

MIX-ONE-21
They have a great website with helpful advice and hints plus a video to help with your first Wrap.

  • Outstanding comfort – Made of 95% Cotton and 5% Spandex, Wrapy® ensures that both the baby and its carer will feel comfortable.
  • A size that fits all – This convenience allows any family member to use Wrapy®!
  • Freedom – Now you can look after your needs while keeping your baby close (literally and figuratively!) Baby wraps benefit the baby in many ways, but it also gives you the mobility to get other things done while caring for your baby.
  • A dryer-safe, machine-washable wrap – Unlike many similar products out there, Wrapy® will survive being washed MANY times.
  • Extra wide fabric – This feature enables you to securely wrap your baby in various positions.

And last but not least - Thank you to my friend Bria who was kind enough to review Wrapy for me and for giving an honest review.

I have used a myriad of carriers from a sling the the lillebaby nordic carrier.  This is my first time using a "wrap" style which are very on trend right now as baby carriers go.

This is the first carrier I have felt comfortable using a newborn in.  Being able to tuck them in the fetal position and not forcing their legs through slots to hang out is a big bonus.
This is an extremely packable and lightweight wrap- which is a huge plus especially if you are used to non flexible or bulky carriers.

There is definitely a learning curve to it, it is a must to try this at home sans infant before trying it with a baby.  Because the fabric is so stretchy I find it difficult to get tight enough across my body in order to have a snug fit carrying my daughter.

Although this is approved up to thirty five pounds I have a hard time imagining it is very comfortable passed the fifteen lb range.  Since it is just fabric - your back and shoulders don't receive any support.

Overall I find this to be a great carrier for the newborn/young infant stage but I don't see myself using it long term with her.

Thanks Wrapy for sending us your product to review.
