For My Mother - Meryah's letter

I am lucky again to have another first time host on the blog. My friend Meryah. I have worked with Meryah for a long time now and I have watched her grow from a young girl into a beautiful, amazing woman. She is so funny and kind and has a great sense of humor. I am grateful that she has taken part in the #formymother series. Thanks Meryah!

Mom,

Through the good, the bad and the ugly you have remained the one constant in my life and I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for me and the life lessons you taught me.

The person I am today is because of the life lessons and confidence you instilled in me and I am proud of that person.
You taught me the importance of hard work and let me believe I could be whoever I wanted to be and
do whatever I wanted to do, the skies the limit.
Thank you for teaching me to always stand up for what I
believe in. Everyone knows I am hard headed and stubborn and I am pretty sure they know I get that from you too. I would not have the drive or determination to go after my goals if it weren’t for you and there’s nothing I want more than to make you proud.

Thank you for making me independent and telling me to never rely on anyone. There is nothing more rewarding than being able to be financially and emotionally stable on your own.

You taught me the value of respect not only for others, but for myself as well, because of you I know my self-worth and will
never settle for anything less than what I deserve.

You have the biggest heart and always put others before yourself, even when times are hard. Whenever I need an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on you are always there. Thank you for keeping me grounded and being my confidant.

I know I do not say it enough but I hope you know how much you mean to me and how much you have taught me. You are the most beautiful person I know, inside and out and I can only hope to be as strong, caring and understanding as you one day. Thank you for showing me what unconditional love is.

You are not only my mother but my best friend, my role model, my hero.

I love you,

Meryah
